RAB crossfire kills terrorist in city
1/10/2006

Jamaluddin alias Picchi Jamal, an alleged terrorist, was killed early Monday in a crossfire in the city's Kafrul area while he was under the custody of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB). Sub-inspector (SI) Nazrul Islam of RAB-4 said, "Jamal died in a gunfire while a RAB team, along with Jamal, was on its way to recover arms and arrest his other accomplices. "As the RAB team reached Baburtek at around 4am, a gang of armed terrorists opened gunfire indiscriminately. RAB also retaliated, leading to a gunfight, during which, Jamal attempted to flee, resulting in his death", the SI said. —BDNEWS
