Suraiya Begum, a housewife of New Eskaton in the city donated Tk one million to the Ahsania Mission Cancer Hospital (AMCH).
She handed over the cheque for the amount to President of Dhaka Alisania Mission (DAM) Kazi Rafiqul Alam Monday at a simple ceremony at its head office at Dhanmondi in the city.
Her husband QASM Neyamatullah and some officers of DAM were present on the occasion.
As per the donor recognition plan of DAM, Suraiya Begum will be enlisted as one of the sponsors of the hospital.
