A seminar on 'Use of Statistics in Pharmaceutical Industries' was held at the East West University (EWU) conference room in the city recently.
The EWU President and Founder Vice Chancellor Mohammed Farashuddin was present as the chief guest.
Associate Senior Statistician Anwar Hossain of Elli Lily and Company based in the USA was present as the keynote speaker.
Anwar Hossain said statistics is an important subject among the quantitative techniques.
He elaborated the tools, techniques, relationship and real life application of statistics in pharmaceutical industries through a magnificent multimedia presentation.
He also discussed different aspects of statistical application in Bangladesh and the USA.
Pro-Vice Chancellor Mohammad Musa stressed the need for quality control for the best output in every sector.
