Three killed, dozens wounded in mishaps

          SIRAJGANJ, Jan 14 (UNB): Three people including a woman died and 45 others including five policemen were injured in three accidents in the district Friday and Saturday, police sources said.
Of the injured, 17 were admitted to the Sirajganj Sadar Hospital and clinics.
Sirajganj police said Dolna Begum (37) of Balarhat village of Rangpur died on the spot and 20 others were injured when a Rangpur-bound passenger bus from Dhaka hit another passenger coach at Jhaol in Kamarkhanda Upazila at about 4:30am Saturday amid dense fog.
In another incident, 20 people suffered injuries when two passenger coaches collided head-on at Goal Chattar on the western side of the Jamuna Bridge at about 6am today.
Besides, an unidentified man who was injured seriously in a road accident in Sirajganj Thursday succumbed to his injuries today.
In yet another accident that occurred at Kutirchar in Kamarkhanda Upazila Friday midnight, a tempo driver died and five others were injured when two passenger tempos collided head-on amid heavy fog.
The police said five of their personnel were injured when their pickup van overturned at Koritola Bazar Station Friday night.
