BOGRA, Jan 16 (BDNEWS): International Cricket Council (ICC) match referee Sri Lankan Roshan Mahanama expressed his satisfaction after inspecting the facilities Shaheed Chandu Stadium and the four-star hotel Naz Garden. Former Sri Lankan cricketer Mahanama, who arrived Bangladesh Sunday to inspect country's five new venues for ODI and Test, visited the stadium Monday noon and later went to Naz Garden of the town. Mahanama expressed his satisfaction at the facilities prevailing at the stadium, said Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) executive committee member and acting secretary of Bogra District Sports Association MR Siddique Lemon. BCB joint secretary Rafiqul Islam Babu and Umpires Association president Kazi Usha Mishu accompanied the ICC official during his visit. The Sri Lankan will inspect Chittagong Divisional Stadium Tuesday, Khulna Divisional Stadium Wednesday and Narayanganj Fatullah Cricket Stadium and Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium Thursday. Mahanama will leave Bangladesh Friday. Earlier in 2004, the ICC official Clive Lloyd expressed his satisfaction to see the newly build stadium, but suggested to build an international standard hotel for the cricketers' accommodation. Organisers hopes the Bogra venue will get the both the status of ODI and Test venue as all things have been worked as per previous prescription.
