Judith Chammas lauds role of ULAB

          Chargé d'affaires of the USA in Bangladesh Judith Chammas said that the education curriculum of the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) is helping to build individuals with free mind of world standard. She was speaking at the liberal arts seminar organised by the ULAB Friday at a city hotel.
Chammas said, "In some renowned universities of the USA, liberal arts education system is prevalent. It is very significant that it has been introduced in Bangladesh. Big industrial firms of the USA seek graduates educated under liberal arts."
She appreciated the courage of the ULAB for being the pioneer of liberal arts education in Bangladesh.
Omar Rahman of Independent University of Bangladesh (IUB) was present as the special guest on the occasion. Vice-chancellor Kazi Shahid Ahmed chaired the seminar.
Besides, Pro-vice chancellor Rafiqul Islam and Director of Academic Affairs Kazi Anis Ahmed spoke on the occasion.
The seminar was attended, among others, by a number of principals of English and Bengali medium schools, colleges, UGC members, managing directors and heads of multi-national companies, eminent educationists, VCs of different universities, journalists, representatives of NGOs and international organisations, etc.
