Price indices plummet on bourses

          The price indices on the country's two bourses plummeted Monday in a moderately active market.
The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) All Share Price Index closed at 1279.52 points, registering 10.79 points or 0.84 per cent decline from 1290.32 points of Thursday, the previous trading day.
The DSE General Index decreased by 13.06 points or 0.77 per cent to close at 1677.43 points from 1690.49 points of the previous day.
The DSE-20 Index also slipped by 12.63 points or 0.79 per cent to close at 1579.66 points from 1592.29 points.
About 1.89 million shares and debentures worth Tk 141.71 million changed hands on the day against 1.93 million shares and debentures valued at Tk 138.03 million of the previous trading day.
The price indices on the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also moved down on the day. The trade turnover, in terms of both volume and value, however, increased on the day.
The CSE All Share Price Index fell by 0.81 per cent to finish at 3339.45 points from 3366.61 points of Thursday, the previous trading day.
The CSE-30 Index slipped by 0.68 per cent to close at 3130.64 points from 3152.23 points.
