Bourses’ price indices close lower

          Price indices on both the local bourses closed lower Sunday in moderate trading.
The price indices on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) dropped, as the losing issues overwhelmed the gaining ones. The trade turnover, in terms of both volume and value, also fell on the day.
The DSE All Share Price Index closed at 1276.36 points, registering 18.45 points or 1.25 per cent decline from 1294.81 points of Wednesday, the previous trading day.
The DSE General Index decreased by 21.20 points or 1.25 per cent to close at 1673.21 points from 1694.41 points of the previous day.
The DSE-20 Index slipped by 17.53 points or 1.08 per cent to close at 1597.87 points from 1619.40 points.
The CSE All Share Price Index went down by 1.06 per cent to finish at 3401.03 points from 3437.49 points of the previous trading day.
The CSE-30 Index moved down by 0.93 per cent to close at 3134.83 points from 3164.13 points.
A total of 1.72 million shares and debentures worth Tk 62.32 million changed hands on the day against the previous day's 0.93 million shares and debentures valued at Tk 88.41 million of the previous day.
