Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Moudud Ahmed said a new law is being enacted to bring those, who train, finance, shelter and patronise the extremists, under penal actions, reports BSS. The process of finalisation of the law is in progress and likely to place in the next session of the parliament, he added. He, however, said strict vigilance would be maintained so that the law is not misused. "The extremists are enemies of Islam and nation, and in the meantime they are mostly suppressed owing to stern actions taken by the government," he said while addressing as the chief guest an workshop on `The implementation of the UN plan of action on small arms' in the city Wednesday. The Bangladesh Institute of Law and International Affairs (BILIA) organised the workshop at its auditorium in cooperation with the Bangladesh Development Partnership Centre (BDPC). Director of the BILIA Waliur Rahman presided over the workshop. Director of the BDPC Sarif A Kafi, among others, addressed it.
