Support to Palestinians to be continued, says Khaleda
1/6/2006

Prime Minister Khaleda Zia reiterated Bangladesh's support to the legitimate causes of the Palestinian people and expressed the hope that they would attain permanent peace in their homeland in the new year 2006, reports BSS.
"The goal of all our initiatives is peace at home and abroad," she told the outgoing Palestinian Ambassador to Bangladesh, Dr Mohammad Shahta Zarab.
The Prime Minister was talking to Zarab when he made a farewell call on her in the Prime Minister's Office in the city Thursday.
The Palestinian envoy, who was also the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps and served in Bangladesh for long 20 years, is due to leave Dhaka on January 11 to join his new assignment in North Korea.
Zarab thanked the government and the people of Bangladesh for the cooperation and hospitality he received during his stay here.
