Under its 'Smile-Brighter' programme, the Dutch-Bangla Bank Ltd. (DBBL) recently organised its second-phase plastic surgery operation at Comilla town at the bank's own cost for the poor cleft-lipped boys and girls to bring back the endearing smile on their faces.
A plastic surgery team consisting of five members led by Dr AJM Salek, head of Plastic Surgery Department of the Dhaka Medical College & Hospital (DMCH), conducted the programme. A total of 25 cleft-lipped boys and girls have been operated upon.
Managing Director of Comilla Medical Centre Zahurul Haque Bhuiyan and DBBL Medical Consultant Dr Mozammel Hossain Khan were present.
