Indian boy, girl claim singles titles

          Indian Sitaram Sudanwa emerged champion in the boys' singles of the Asian Under-14 Series Tennis beating compatriot Athore Mansingh 6-2, 6-3 in the final at the national tennis complex in the city Friday, reports BDNEWS.
Sitaram Sudanwa beat Hutaruk Farulian of Indonesian 6-4, 2-6, 6-4 in the first semi-final while Athore Mansingh defeated Akio Sy of the Philippines 6-1, 6-2 in the second semi-final.
Earlier Indian Naik Adnyaa outplayed Indonesian Ysidora Grace Sari 6-1, 6-2 to clinch the girls' singles title Thursday.
In the girls' doubles, Ysidora Grace Sari and Frederika Nadia of Indonesia earned the girls doubles title defeating Bhanba of Bangladesh and Naik Adnyaa (India) 6-1, 6-1 in the final.
Bangladesh Olympic Association Secretary General Kutubuddin Ahmed distributed prizes among the winners.
Bangladesh Tennis Federation President Taufiq M Siraj and other officials were also present on the occasion.
