Price indices gain at bourses

          Price indices on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) went up Tuesday, as the gaining issues outplayed the losing ones. The trade turnover, in terms of both volume and value, however, decreased on the day.
The DSE All Share Price Index closed at 1271.83 points, registering 3.32 points or 0.26 per cent rise from 1268.51 points of Monday, the previous trading day.
The DSE General Index gained by 2.94 points or 0.18 per cent to close at 1669.38 points from 1666.43 points of the previous day.
The DSE-20 Index moved up by 1.53 points or 0.09 per cent to end at 1701.13 points from 1699.59 points.
The price indices on the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also closed higher on the day, as the gainers outnumbered the losers.
The trade turnover, in terms of volume, increased but in terms of value, it fell on the day.
The CSE All Share Price Index rose by 0.31 per cent to finish at 3371.98 points from 3361.62 points of Monday, the previous trading day.
The CSE-30 Index moved up by 0.06 per cent to close at 3164.63 points from 3162.56 points.
