20 AL activists decide to tender resignations
Our Correspondent
10/16/2005

RAJSHAHI, Oct 15: A total of 20 members of the Awami League Baghmara Upazila unit have decided to tender their resignations in protest against the irregularities in the committee.
According to a source, a 67-member Baghmara Upazila committee was formed on July 21 last.
But after forming the committee members of the unit started to leave the committee due to massive irregularities and disagreement between its president and secretary.
Leaders and workers of the unit alleged that president and secretary of the AL unit included their relatives in the committee by excluding the active party members..
However, President Abdus Sobhan Chowdhury and Secretary Zakirul Islam Santu of the AL unit said the demand for resignation of the members from the committee is illogical.
