Hargreaves agrees new deal with Bayern Munich
10/16/2005

BERLIN, Oct 15 (AFP): England international midfielder Owen Hargreaves Friday agreed a new deal to stay with German champions Bayern Munich until 2010, the Bundesliga leaders announced.
"We have reached a verbal agreement with Owen for him to stay with us until 2010. The deal will be signed in the next few days," said chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.
Hargreaves has been at Bayern since 1997 and signed his first professional deal two years later.
The 24-year-old collected a Champions League medal in 2001 and was a member of the England squad at the 2002 World Cup finals.
"I am sure we will continue to win titles here, we have the finest stadium in the world and a team capable of winning the Champions League," said Hargreaves.
