Bomb injures Sylhet judge
10/19/2005

SYLHET, Oct 18 (UNB): Divisional speedy trial tribunal judge Biplob Goswami was injured when unknown miscreants hurled a homemade bomb at him in the city just before the iftar Tuesday.
Goswami said he was getting down from the car in front of his home at Kumarpara when the assailants hurled the bomb around 5-28pm. He received minor injuries in the face, hands and legs and was receiving first aid at home.
Senior police officials rushed to the judge's house after the incident.
Locals said the miscreants while passing through the Manikpeer Road hurled two more bombs, one of which was exploded in front of Malancha Community Centre. None, however, was injured. Another unexploded bomb was found in front of Partex Show Room.
Pedestrians held a young man suspecting his involvement in the bomb attack when he was running away. He was handed over to the police but his identity was not immediately available.
