10/30/2005

Bangladesh Television (BTV) and BTV World will make live telecast of the opening and concluding sessions of the ensuing South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) summit, official sources said in the city Saturday, reports BSS.
The 13th summit of the SAARC, that groups Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, the Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka, will be held in the city on November 12 and 13.
The Press Publication and Souvenir sub-committee of the SAARC Organising Committee sources said a media centre will also be opened at Hotel Sonargaon on the occasion of the summit for local and foreign media.
The media centre will be equipped with 50 computers, 10 telephones and five faxes with international dialling facilities, and a colour lab. The national dailies will publish supplements on the occasion of the SAARC summit.
