Railway communications between Dhaka and Chittagong, Sylhet and Noakhali were disrupted partially when a goods train derailed Thursday night, official sources said. "The incident occurred at about 11:45pm Thursday when an empty wagon jumped the track at Talshahar, near Brahmanbaria." Bangladesh Railway Director (PR) Mostafa-E-Zamil told the FE. "The accident left only one line inoperative. However. Zamil, however, could not say anything about the reason for derailment. Suspension of one line for about nine hours caused miseries to hundreds of passengers overnight as a number of trains remained stranded at different stations. — FE Report
