Govt borrows Tk 8.103b thru' T-bills
FE Report
11/1/2005

The government borrowed a total of Tk 8.103 billion (810.30 crore) Sunday through the auctions of treasury bills. On the other hand, Tk 6.94 billion will be injected into the market in the week due to maturity of some treasury bills. It will result in a net outflow of Tk 1.163 billion from the market in the week.
The net outflow of cash from the market is expected to increase pressure on liquidity, the fund managers said.
The auction of the 28-day, 91-day, 182-day, 364-day and two-year treasury bills was held on the day.
Bidders offered Tk 7.973 billion, Tk 200 million, Tk 30 million and Tk 100 million against 28-day, 91-day, 364-day and two-year bills respectively.
The central bank, however, accepted the bids worth Tk 7.973 billion, Tk 30 million and 100 million against 28-day, 364-day and two-year bills respectively.
The ranges of the implicit yields respectively were 6.75-6.85 per cent, 7.20 per cent and 7.50 per cent per annum.
