BSF return 5 bodies of Bangladeshi nationals at Benapole border
11/16/2005

BENAPOLE, Nov 15 (UNB): BSF today returned 5 bodies of Bangladeshi nationals who were beaten to death at Bongaon on October 1.
Minhajul, Lata, Aktarul, Hahidul and Abdul Khaleque of Sharsha went to India with a cancer patient for treatment. On their way they stayed in a house of a relative at Bongaon.
A group of villagers suspecting them of stealing a motorbike dragged them out at dead of night and brutally beat them to death.
BSF handed over the bodies to BDR at Benapole border in presence of wailing relatives.
Earlier in the afternoon BSF returned a young woman who had fallen victim to traffickers three months ago. Rokeya Begum was returned to Saviour, an NGO of Bangladesh, in presence of her mother, a resident of Pantala village in Jessore district.
Babul had reportedly married Rokeya, took her to Kolkata on the plea that they would be touring the great city and sold her to a brothel. She fled from the brothel and took shelter in an NGO, Action Aid.
Meanwhile, Babul had been arrested on return to Bangladesh.
