Coordinated approach must for democratic stability, says Speaker
11/16/2005

Speaker Mohammmad Jamir Uddin Sircar said Tuesday stability and institutionalisation of democracy largely depends on well-coordinated approach of the legislative, executive and judiciary branches of the government, reports BSS.
He was speaking at a briefing session at the Sangsad Bhaban on 'Democracy and Parliament' for the staff officers and course members of the National Defence College (NDC) who are taking part in the "Armed Forces War Course-2005."
Lauding the role being played by the members of the Bangladesh Armed forces in the United Nations Peace Mission, the speaker pointed out that the highest number of members from Bangladesh are working with this mission in different trouble-torn areas of the world.
The speaker also responded to various quires of the members. A total of 58 civil and defence personnel are taking part in the course.
Among others, Parliament Secretary Mohammad Luthfar Rahman Talukder and Commandant of the NDC Major General Abu Tayeb Mohammad Zahirul Alam were present on the occasion.
