Call to cancel allocation orders of unused BSCIC plots to encourage entrepreneurs
11/2/2005

RAJSHAHI, Nov 01 (BSS): With a view to bring viable industrial plots of BSCIC estate under productive purposes, speakers at a meeting here Monday evening called for cancellation of allocation orders of those plots that have been kept unused by their owners for a long time. This, they say, will encourage potential entrepreneurs to set up industries and create fresh job opportunities in the region.
Chairman of BSCIC ABM Kamarul Islam was chief guest in the meeting on plot allocation held at the conference hall of BSCIC regional office. With regional director of the BSCIC Mokbul Hossain Sarker in the chair, local deputy commissioner Syed Ahsanul Haque took part in the discussion as the special guest.
Speakers urged the authorities concerned to intensify the allocation process for the identified plots adjacent to the ponds in the estate. They observed that importance must be given to the recovery of the identified plots along the link road from unauthorised occupation and for allocation of those for creating employment opportunities.
