Campus gathers heat over BCS preliminary exam fiasco
DU Correspondent
11/21/2005

The Dhaka University (DU) campus roared with processions and rallies Sunday over the leakage of question papers in the recently held BCS preliminary exminations.
Different student organisations continued rallies and processions on the campus for the second consecutive day for scrapping of the 27th BCS preliminary examination and removal of Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) chairman.
Simiar agitation programmes were also observed at all higher education institutions across the country, sources claimed.
Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), the student wing of the main opposition Awami League, brought out its earlier announced rally. It was held at the foot of Aparajaya Bangla.
Speakers at the rally warned that if 27th BCS preliminary exam was not cancelled and BPSC chairman not removed immediately, they would go for tougher agitation programmes.
BCL president Liaqat Sikder, General Secretary Nazrul Islam Babu, Marufa Akter Popy, among others, addressed the rally.
Samajtantrik Chhatra Front (SCF), the student chapter of Bangladesh Samajtantrik Dal (BSD), also organised rally and procession in the campus protesting irregularities in the preliminary examination.
