AB Bank gets BB permission to declare stock dividend

          The Arab Bangladesh (AB) Bank informed the authority concerned that Bangladesh Bank (BB) had finally given consent allowing the bank to declare 5.0 per cent stock dividend for the year 2004 in the coming 23rd annual general meeting (AGM) of the bank to be held on November 30, 2005.
SEC warns SIBL for recommending
bonus share
Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) issued a warning letter to directors, managing director and company secretary of Social Investment Bank Ltd (SIBL) for recommending 10 per cent bonus share for the financial year 2004 despite of huge shortfall in capital and provisioning based on the concerned audited financial statements.
Trading of shares in spot market
Agni System: Trading of the shares of the company will be allowed only in the spot market with benefit from November 21, 2005 to November 23, 2005 and trading of the shares will remain suspended on the record date on November 24, 2005.
Sale/purchase of shares
NCC Bank: Md Anwar Pasha, one of the sponsors of the bank, has expressed his intention to sell 500 shares out of his 105,827 shares of the bank at the prevailing market price through stock exchange within the next 30 working days.
Usmania Glass: Sirajuddin Haider, one of the directors of the company, has expressed his intention to buy 375 shares of the company at the prevailing market price through stock exchange within the next 30 working days.
Islami Bank: Muhammad Mosharraf Hossain, one of the sponsors of the bank, has expressed his intention to sell 39 shares out of his 839 shares of the bank at the prevailing market price through stock exchange within the next 30 working days.
Intech Online: Nayeem Chowdhury, one of the sponsors of the company, has reported that he has sold his entire 100,000 shares of the company through stock exchange as announced earlier.
BD Thai incurs Tk 10.52m net loss
BD Thai Aluminium Ltd incurred a net loss of Tk 10.52 million in the year that ended on June 30, 2005. The earning per share (EPS) of the company stood at Tk 9.41.
Hakkani Publishers AGM on Dec 18
The 9th annual general meeting (AGM) of Hakkani Publishers & Paper Mills Ltd will be held on December 18, 2005 at 11.30am at Eden Garden Community Centre, Halishahar, Chittagong. The book-closure will be from December 5, 2005 to December 18, 2005. The board of directors has confirmed that 5.0 per cent interim dividend declared and paid earlier as final dividend for the year 2004- 2005.
Atlas Bangladesh earns Tk 69.32m net profit
Atlas Bangladesh Ltd earned a net profit of Tk 69.32 million in the year that ended on June 30, 2005. The earning per share (EPS) of the company stood at Tk 17.33.
