Ctg, Rajshahi take full control but Dhaka into deep crisis

          National opener Nafis Iqbal hit first ton in the Ispahani Mirzapur Tea National Cricket League as the hosts Chittagong took full control over visitors Khulna at the end of day-two of four-dayers at Chittagong Divisional Stadium Monday, reports BDNEWS.
Chittagong scored a massive 380 runs for seven at stump, a 198-run lead replying to Khulna's 192 runs in the first innings.
The hosts Rajshahi also are in the commanding position against Barisal as Anisur Rahman Sanjoy hammered an unbeaten century and Hasanuzzaman Rozel remained at an unbeaten 81 runs at Rajshahi Divisional Stadium.
Rajshahi, who scored 238 runs for three at stump, took a 15-run lead replying to Barisal's first innings of 223.
But, another hosts Dhaka fell into deep crisis after being bowled out for 131 runs, leaving Sylhet a lead of 114 runs. Sylhet took an overall 240-run lead after scoring 126 for six in the second innings at Dhanmondi Cricket Stadium.
Resuming the day-two on 120 for one, Chittagong added another 260 runs losing six wickets to reach 380 runs for seven in 120 overs.
Overnight batsman Nafis Iqbal, who resumed the day on 63, made just 100 knocking 175 balls that included 13 fours while night-watch batsman Aftab resumed on 32 to end his innings on 64 runs featuring eight fours and one six.
Besides, two national players contributed 125 runs for the second wicket stand before being separated. Ehsanul Haq scored 85 off 195 balls with ten fours and Wasseluddin made 74 off 151 balls featuring 11 fours.
Sadid Hossain Khan (21) and Yasin Arafat (2) remained unbeaten when the bails were drawn for the day-two.
Pacer Ziaur Rahman grabbed three wickets for 88 runs while Razzak, Manjarul Islam Rana, Al Amin and Jamaluddin took one wicket each.
