Decision on hiring aircraft for Hajj pilgrims today
11/29/2005

The Board of Directors of the Bangladesh Biman Airlines will hold a meeting today to take a final decision for chartering foreign aircraft to carry the Hajj pilgrims. The Biman authorities will submit a final report at the meeting after examining various proposals and discussions with representatives of establishments concerned to charter foreign aircraft for carrying the Hajj pilgrims to Saudi Arabia. A meeting, presided over by State Minister for Religious Affairs Mosharref Hossain Shahjahan Monday said all arrangements have been made to carry all Hajj pilgrims by the Bangladesh Biman. A total of 2,634 ballottee pilgrims under government management and 54,130 non-ballotee pilgrims under private management are likely to perform Hajj this year. — BSS
