Javed hits ton again
Khulna 13 runs away from victory

          National opener Javed Omar hit back-to-back century to propel Dhaka against Barisal on day-two of four-dayer in the Ispahani Mirzapore Tea 7th National Cricket League at Dhanmondi Stadium Monday, reports BDNEWS.
Javed, who made 106 in the first innings, remained unbeaten on 104 off 155 balls that included 16 fours and a six.
Earlier, Shahriar Hossain Biddyut and Shaheen Hossain hit centuries in both the innings in 2000 and 2004 respectively against MCC and Chittagong.
Khulna are 13 runs away from victory after Jamaluddin Babu showed an all-round performance at Rajshahi Divisional Stadium. Rajshahi scored 130 in the first innings and 140 in the second innings. Khulna, in reply, hammered 252 in the first innings and six for no loss in the second innings at stump of the second day.
National discard Alok Kapali also hammered an unbeaten century to bring Sylhet in fight against Chittagong at the Chittagong divisional stadium.
Alok scored an unbeaten 121 off 181 balls with 18 fours.
Barisal were all out for 131 in 42.1 overs in reply to Dhaka's first innings total of 331. Dhaka started their second innings with a lead of 200, and were 188 for four to take 388 runs overall lead against lowly Barisal when the bails were drawn for the second day.
Anwar Hossain (19), Al Shahriar Rokon (28), Mohammad Ashraful (5) and Mehrab Hossain Opee (19) returned to the pavilion while Sawar Hossain (6) and Omar (104) remained unbeaten.
Barisal having started 35 for one were all out for 131 as Mohammad Rafique (four for six), Ashraful (2/30) and Khaled Mahmud (2/38) shared eight wickets.
Humayun Kabir scored 43 of 97 balls with seven fours, followed by skipper Shahriar Nafees Ahmed's 18.
Khulna are 13 runs away for victory after bowling out the host Rajshahi for 130 in the second innings. Rajshahi set a 19-run target to Khulna, who scored six runs in the second innings losing no wicket.
Rajshahi batsmen failed to resist the innings against Khulna as Jamaluddin Babu, Syed Rasel and Abdur Razzak shared nine wickets to wrap up the hosts cheaply.
Naeem Islam of Rajshahi was the most successful batsman, who remained unbeaten 39 runs with five fours and a six.
Habibul Bashar added only three runs with his overnight 82 while his pair Manjarul Islam scored 35. Jamaluddin Babu remained unbeaten on 46 off 101 balls with six fours.
Shahajada, who took two wickets Sunday, raised his tally to five for 81 runs while Saifullah Khan grabbed four wickets for 44 runs.
Sylhet scored 267 for eight in 85 overs at stump after closing the Chittagong innings for 273.
Chittagong only added three runs losing two wickets with overnight score of 270 for eights as Nazmul and Ashiqur picked up two remaining wickets.
Rajshahi began a awful start losing four wickets for 52, Among the batsmen Golam Rahman (9), Imtiaz Hossain (21), Moniruzzaman (0) were removed by Tareq Aziz Khan while Rajin (20) was the victim of hit-wicket off Arafat.
