IIFC holds 6th AGM

          The sixth annual general meeting of Infrastructure Investment Facilitation Centre (IIFC), a government company engaged in facilitating private participation in infrastructure projects, was held in the city recently.
Planning Commission Member (Social and Economic Infrastructure) K M S A Kaiser, former secretary Ghulam Rahman and former secretary Aminur Rahman were present as the members of the company.
IIFC Chairman and Finance Ministry Secretary (ERD) Md Ismail Zabihullah, Asian Surveyor Limited Managing Director Faizur Rahman, Newscorp Publications Chairman A K M Shamsuddin and IIFC Executive Director and CEO Nazrul Islam were present at the AGM as directors of the company.
After the AGM, a brief discussion was held. Speaking on the occasion the chairman described the activities of the IIFC over the last six years, its achievements and future plan. Asian Development Bank Country Director Hua Du briefly discussed the infrastructure scenario of the country.
The secretary of the Ministry of Shipping appreciated the services of IIFC. Among others, the managing director and CEO of Dhaka Telephone Co Ltd also spoke on the session.
