Khaleda urges people to remain alert against intrigues
12/29/2005

NALDANGA (Natore), Dec 28 (BSS): Prime Minister Khaleda Zia Wednesday urged the people to remain alert against intrigues being hatched by vested quarters at a time when signs of improvement and progress are clearly evident in all fields.
Khaleda Zia made the appeal while he was addressing a public meeting on the Naldanga Sonapatil Women's College premises at Naldanga in Natore Wednesday.
The Prime Minister said those engaged in bomb blasts, anarchy, hartals and killing of people by torching the buses and trains will be identified as terrorists.
She said a deep-rooted conspiracy is being hatched against the country at a time when it has been progressing in all spheres including education, health, communications and other infrastructural development.
She asserted that the conspirators will not be able to implement their foul designs in the face of people's unity. Unity will make Bangladesh a strong and self-reliant nation, she added.
Criticising the party which administered the country immediately after the independence for its misdeeds in shattering the national economy and failure to implement welfare programmes for the people, she said the party had destroyed every institution of the country.
The design of that party, she observed was to keep Bangladesh poor and weak as well as to fulfil the wishes of their masters for making the country subservient.
Giving a brief resume of her government's socio-economic development programmes and the their beneficial effects, she urged the people to support BNP to return to power for maintaining the continuity of development.
