12/29/2005

LONDON, Dec 28 (AFP): Newcastle have appealed against Lee Bowyer's red card in their December 26 Premiership defeat at Liverpool, British media reported on Wednesday.
The former Leeds midfielder was sent off for a challenge on Xabi Alonso, which sparked a mass brawl that also, saw Liverpool's Peter Crouch booked.
