Jubok Phone, Teletalk sign interconnectivity agreement

          From now on the subscribers of Jubok Phone, a private land phone company, would be able to enter into Teletalk Bangladesh Limited network.
In this connection, an interconnectivity agreement was signed between the two companies in the city Thursday, said a press release.
Managing Director of Teletalk Md Obaidullah and Managing Director of Jubok Phone Golam Sarwar signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.
Jubok Phone got the licence for four zones--- Chittagong, Rajshahi, Khulna and Sylhet.
The company will offer land phone service in Chittagong zone in its first phase.
Speaking on the occasion, Managing Director of Jubok Phone ANM Golam Sarwar claimed that besides launching by January '06, the company would provide the best services in the private land phone sector as the total infrastructure was being set up by world class Motorola.
According to him, Jubok Phone, the land phone operator of Telebarta Limited, would bring about 150,000 customers of Chittagong zone under its network by the yearend to fulfil the demand of land phones, particularly in the rural areas.
Among others, General Manager (External Coordination) of Teletalk Md Aminul Hassan, GM (Finance) GFA Chowdhury and Consultant of TeleBarta Limited Mohammad Amanullah, Chief Marketing Officer Masud Reza Bhuiyan and Chief Technical Officer Mahmud Hossain were present at the agreement signing ceremony.
