Muktijoddha Sangsad regained the top-spot of the Dutch-Bangla Bank First Division Chess League with a 3.5-.5 win over Friends Club in the seventh round matches at the Chess Federation Hall-Room Saturday, reports BDNEWS. Muktijoddha Sangsad raised their tally to 23.5 from 21.5. Biman Bangladesh slipped to the second position after losing to defending champions Leonine Chess Club 0.5-3.5 in the day's round. Now, both the teams share the second-spot with 22 each. Leonine's GM RB Ramesh beat GM Ziaur Rahman, GM Uldachev Saidali beat GM Dibyendu Barua and GM Niaz Murshed beat FM Mehdi Hasan Parag, but IM Abdullah Al Rakib of Leonine drew with IM S. Kiadambi. Muktijoddha Sangsad's GM Abhijit Kunte, GM Aloyzas Kveinys and IM Enamul Hossain Razib beat Alamgir Hossain, Mahbub Afzal and Shahjahan Kabir respectively.
