Emphasis on improving risk management culture in local banking industry

          Bangladesh Bank Deputy Governor Muhammad A (Rumee) Ali emphasised recently the need for improving the risk management culture in the local banking industry.
He made the observation while inaugurating as the chief guest a week-long regional training workshop on Risk Analytics.
Citigroup Bangladesh with the help of their Asia Pacific Business Institute (APBI), Philippines organised the training workshop, which concluded Monday.
The Bangladesh Bank deputy governor also urged young bankers from home and abroad to better understand the risk emanating from changing market and regulatory developments.
Four faculties from Citigroup Asia Pacific Banking Institute took part in various sessions of the programme, also attended by 25 bankers from home and abroad.
Citigroup Country Officer-Bangladesh Mamun Rashid and Country Human Resources Head Syed Tanvir Hussain along with other Citigroup senior officials were also present.
