Bomb attacks aim at foreign intervention: Jamaat chief
12/9/2005

The spell of bomb attacks is designed to create a situation for intervention by foreign aggressors.
Jamaat Ameer and Minister for Industries Matiur Rahman Nizami alleged this, above while addressing the inaugural session of the Jamaat-e-Islami Central Majlis-e-Sura at Al Falah auditorium in the city Thursday, reports UNB.
Nizami said speakers at a seminar organised by a big party a few days ago sought foreign intervention.
They want to destroy the prospect of Islam in this country, the minister said.
"Islam is being misinterpreted and bombs are exploded to damage Islam", he said, reiterating that Islam has no connection with such militancy.
The Jamaat chief further alleged a particular quarter is making evil effort to implicate Jamaat in the bomb blasts to put psychological pressure on a major ally of the ruling four-party alliance as well as create rift in the alliance.
"The unity of the alliance will be consolidated foiling the conspiracy, Inshallah", he said.
Demanding proper investigation and trial of the bombing cases, Nizami said none should be blamed before proper inquiry.
"Those who are blaming Jamaat before the inquiry are trying to hide the actual perpetrators", he said.
Jamaat central leaders Makbul Ahmad, Nazir Ahmad, Secretary General and Social Welfare Minister Ali Ahsan Mujahid, lawmaker Abdus Sobhan, Delwar Hossain Sayeedi, Muhammad Qamruzzaman, Abdul Qader Mollah and ATM Azharul Islam were present, among others, on the occasion.
