DU Correspondent
12/9/2005

The Dhaka University (DU) campus roared with slogans from processions and rallies Thursday, against the recent spate of suicide bomb attacks in the country.
Different student organisations held rallies and processions on the campus in protest against the violent bomb attacks carried out by Islamist militants.
Chhatra Sangram Parisad (CSP) brought out a procession that paraded the campus. They also held a protest rally in front of Arts Building.
Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) president Liaqat Sikder, Marufa Akter Popy, Jewel Ahmed of Chhatra Oikka, Mostaque Ahmed of Chhatra Samity, among others, addressed the rally.
Speakers at the rally called on the BNP-Jamaat alliance government to resign immediately for its failure to ensure public security.
On the other hand, Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD), front organisation of the ruling BNP, organised a rally and brought out a procession on the campus. They held a rally in front of Dhaka University Central Student Union (DUCSU).
