The Nari Unnayan Shakti (NUS) observed World AIDS Day 2005 in a befitting manner in Dhaka, Chittagong, Bhola, Chowmuhony and Pabna districts through a week-long awareness programme.
The events were rallies, cultural programmes, AIDS Awareness stalls, free distribution of copies of the book titled AIDS Questions and Answers, distribution of leaflets and discussion meetings.
Nearly six thousands youths -- both male and female -- took part in the programme.
Moreover, 50 video shows have been arranged in different places during the week from December 1-8 to create mass awareness.
