The Election Commission (EC) has extended the deadline for preparation of voter list until February 20 to include all eligible persons whose information could not be collected by the previously set deadline that expired Tuesday. The EC Tuesday decided that collection of information on the eligible voters and its scrutiny would continue upto February 20. The work on preparation of voter lists was disrupted from January 1 to 31 due to Eid-ul-Azha holidays, holy Hajj, Biswa Ijtema and admission tests in different schools, said an official handout. The EC has undertaken all necessary steps to carry out its constitutional obligation to preparing a correct and flawless voter list, it said. — UNB
