Central bank holds repo auction

          Bangladesh Bank (BB) held repurchase agreement (repo) auction Thursday.
Commercial banks and financial institutions offered eighteen bids of two-day tenor amounting to Tk 7.825 billion (782.50 crore).
The central bank, however, accepted sixteen of the bids amounting to Tk 4.70 billion.
The rate of interest against the accepted bids was 8.00 per cent per annum.
