No election would be allowed without EC reform: Jalil
2/12/2006

DINAJPUR, Feb 11 (BDNEWS): Awami League General Secretary and 14-party coordinator Abdul Jalil MP said no election will be allowed to be held in the country until the caretaker government and the election commission (EC) were reformed and the chief election commissioner and two newly appointed EC commissioners were removed.
He was speaking as the chief guest at the representative meeting of the 14-party combine at Dinajpur Natya Samity Hall Friday afternoon. The meeting was called with a view to make the Rangpur divisional grand rally of the 14-party to be held at Dinajpur on February 25 a success.
Coordinator of the 14-party in eight districts of Rangpur region and Awami League (AL) Organising Secretary Mahmudur Rahman Manna presided over the meeting that was addressed by JSD (Inu) General Secretary Syed Zafar Sajjad, Gano Forum leader Pankaj Bhattacharya, Workers Party's Anisur Rahman Mallick, AL leaders Khairuzzaman Liton, Asadur Rahman, NAP leader Nurul Haque and presidents and general secretaries of the 14 party of the concerned eight districts.
