20,000 children die of measles every year
2/14/2006

PABNA, Feb 13 (UNB): About 20,000 children die of measles and measles related complications while nearly 1.00 million others suffer from the disease in the country every year.
This information was given at a meeting on anti-measles vaccination campaign programme at the DC's office here Sunday.
The 20-day campaign will begin across the country on February 25, said an official announcement Tuesday.
Children from nine months to 10 years of age will be vaccinated during the campaign. Those who have already been administered anti-measles vaccine will also be brought under the programme.
