Bus accident kills 4, injures 50

          PATUAKHALI, Feb 15: At least four local leaders and workers of Zaker Party (ZP) were killed and 50 others injured in a bus accident at Bakerkati Khajura on Barisal-Patuakhali road Tuesday night. The deceased were identified as Farid Gazi (28), Manir (15), Jewell (28) and Majibur Talukdar (30). The police said Farid Gazi died on the spot and 53 others were injured when the bus carrying them nose-dived into a roadside ditch at around 10pm. They were returning home from Faridpur district after attending the Urs at Atrashi. —UNB
