Bangladesh has taken an all out measure for a long-term deal with India to come out of the water crisis, Minister for Water Resources Hafizuddin Ahmed told the parliament Wednesday, reports BDNEWS. Replying to a question of Shah Md Solaiman Alam, the Minister said India withdrew water from the upstream of Farakka and rivers Teesta, Dharala, Dudhkumar, Gomoti, Khowai, Monu, Muhuri and Mahananda by installing a number of barrages. To get a solution of this crisis a secretary level committee of Bangladesh and India is jointly working in this regard.
