BNP to observe Int'l Mother Language Day
2/16/2006

BNP has chalked out elaborate programmes on the occasion of International Mother Language Day to be observed on February 21, reports UNB.
The party's programmes on the day will start at dawn by hoisting black flags as mark of mourning for the language martyrs and hoisting party and national flags half mast all party's unit offices.
Party leaders and workers wearing black badges will assemble in front of Balaka Cinema Hall at 6:00 am and proceed in barefoot towards the Azimpur Graveyard, where they will visit the graves of the language martyrs and place wreaths. Later, they will pay respect at the Central Shaheed Minar.
BNP will organise a discussion meeting and cultural programme at Ramna Batamul in the city at 3:00 pm on the day.
BNP Secretary General and LGRD and Cooperatives Minister Abdul Mannan Bhuiyan has called upon the committees of the organisation at all level and leaders, members and activists to participate in the programmes to observe the day in a befitting manner.
