Consulta nt of World Bank (WB) for Bangladesh Urban Strategy Sector Work Edwin Mills called on DCCI Acting President Hossain Khaled at DCCI office Monday, said a press release.
They discussed urbanisation pattern and urban economic growth potential of Bangladesh.
Tne DCCI acting president emphasised their need for educating human resources to develop urban areas. He said sewerage, water, transportation etc. are some of the most important prerequisites for urbanisation and better growth.
He suggested gradual privatisation of those services for improving urban facilities.
Mills said Bangladesh has got plenty of opportunities to grow. The country needs appropriate planning and implementation for development.
