Pak govt to provide modern facilities at Textile City
2/16/2006

ISLAMABAD, Feb 15 (APP): Pakistani Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz yesterday said the government would provide state-of-the-art facilities at the Textile City being set up at Karachi to help increase production and competitiveness of the products.
The Prime Minister said that Textiles, the major industry of the country, had substantially grown during the last few years.
He said the government was taking a number of steps to add further capacity in this sector and the establishment of Textile City at Karachi would give a boost to the textile industry by facilitating setting up of new industrial units and production of goods at lower costs.
The Prime Minister emphasized the need for better coordination and planning by related departments and gave instructions for early implementation of the decisions.
