PKSF, JICA sign accord on training for women entrepreneurs

          An agreement was signed recently between Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF) and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Bangladesh on a one month training programme for woman entrepreneurs, reports BDNEWS.
The training programme is being held at Training Centre of Padakkhep Manobik Unnayan Kendra at Bhabanipur of Gazipur and all relevant expenditures will be borne by JICA, a press release said.
The agreement was signed by Akio Arai, resident representative, JICA-Bangladesh, and Akond Md. Rafiqul Islam, assistant general manager of PKSF, on behalf of their respective organizations.
Akond Md. Rafiqul Islam of PKSF attended and received training on "Seminar on Women's Entrepreneurship Development- Training for Leaders" from JICA, Tokyo during February 8 to March 12, 2005.
The training programme is being implemented in line with the "Follow-up Cooperation for JICA ex-participants of Seminar on Women's Entrepreneurship Development Training for Leaders".
One hundred and fifty women micro entrepreneurs of Sreepur Upazila of Gazipur district who are the beneficiaries of Padakkhep Manobik Unnayan Kendra, a partner organisation of PKSF, are participating in the training programme.
