Bangladesh leave for Uzbekistan to play AFC qualifying round

          Bangladesh National Football team, led by Abahani midfielder Arif Khan Joy, left Saturday for Uzbek capital Tashkent to play a qualifying round match of the AFC Asian Cup Football Championship against Uzbekistan, reports UNB.
The team comprises 18 players and three officials.
Bangladesh, placed in Group-F of the prestigious Asian soccer meet along with Uzbekistan, Qatar and Hong Kong, will play their first match against Uzbekistan on February 22 in Tashkent and their next match in Dhaka against Hong Kong on March 1.
On the eve of their departure at the BFF Bhaban, team skipper Joy told a press conference, "We would try to play better football against Uzbekistan and hope to finish the match in lesser goal difference."
Bangladesh team: Arif Khan Joy (captain), Aminul Haq (vice captain), Biplob Battacharya, Mohammad Sujon, Rajani Kanta Barman, Hasan Al Mamun, Firoz Mahmud Tito, Arman Aziz, Motiur Munna, Arman Miah, Alfaz Ahmed, Zahid Hossain Emily, Kazi Nazrul Islam, Mustafa Anwar Parvez Babu, Abul Hossain, Mehdi Hasan Ujjal, Ariful Kabir Farhad and Rokonuzzaman Kanchan.
Team officials: Ashrafuddin Ahmed Chunnu (team leader), Sayed Hassan Kanan (manager) and Victor Ariel Colman (assistant coach).
