Prime Minister Khaleda Zia announced Monday that the government would provide honorarium to the families of language martyrs as a mark of respect to them. She made the announcement at the Ekushey Padak 2006 distribution function, organised by Cultural Affairs Ministry at Osmani Memorial Auditorium. The Prime Minister asked the cultural ministry to take necessary steps immediately in this connection. The honorarium would be provided on a monthly basis. — UNB
