Baisya called up for third ODI
Bangladesh look for victory
2/25/2006

Bangladesh look for victory in the third one-day international against Sri Lanka when they meet each other at the Chittagong divisional stadium Saturday, report agencies.
"The boys are confident and desperately look for the series victory over the Lankans on home soil," captain Habibul Bashar said Friday.
Bangladesh return to rhythm levelling the three-match series 1-1 with a historic four-wicket win over Sri Lanka in the second match at Shaheed Chandu Stadium in Bogra on February 22.
Habibul Bashar said, "Boys are very much positive about the whole series and they are not satisfied with only one victory."
Coach Dav Whatmore said, 'All the ingredients are with us and still the momentum with us. Everything is there to win tomorrow (Saturday), we will try hard and play like the second match.
Whatmore said the boys learned a lot from Sri Lanka in the last match as they, despite losing the first wicket for 15 in 10 over, brought their total to 212.
Bashar said about the changes, "Nazmul had some problems in bowling against left handed batsmen of the Lankans. So we have included Tapash in place of him."
Both coach and captain agreed that wicket is dry and good cricketing wicket. They thought that toss would not be a big factor. The main targets of the tigers are not to lose more wickets within first 20 overs.
Meanwhile, the pace bowler, Tapash Baisya, has been drafted into the Bangladesh squad for the third and final one-day international against Sri Lanka at Chittagong, as they bid as they bid for a rare series victory Saturday.
Bangladesh levelled the three-match series 1-1 with a four-wicket victory in Bogra Wednesday, which was only their 11th win in 117 one-day internationals.
Baisya (23) has played in 51 one-day internationals, taking 56 wickets at an average of 39.71, but he has not featured since Bangladesh's last series against Sri Lanka, in September 2005.
But he has been named in the squad as a replacement for the allrounder and former captain, Khaled Mahmud, who quit international cricket after top-scoring in defeat in the first one-dayer at Bogra Monday.
Bangladesh squad: Habibul Bashar (captain), Khaled Mashud, Javed Omar, Mohammad Ashraful, Aftab Ahmed, Rajin Saleh, Alok Kapali, Shahriar Nafees, Mohammad Rafique, Mashrafe Mortaza, Manjural Islam, Nazmul Hossain, Abdur Razzak, Syed Rasel, Tapash Baisya.
