2/5/2006

One of the world's leading computer software development institutes, 'Microsoft', has marketed Bangla Interface of Windows XP, reports BDNEWS.
This new software will provide different programmes including Windows XP icons in Bangla. The new interface has been marketed targeting those who use computer in Bangla and it will also benefit the computer users who are less educated.
Two years ago Microsoft decided to design a Bangla version of its operating system. The decision resulted in the marketing of Bangla interface.
The developers of the new interface said this is still at experimental phase. It could be used in Windows XP ServicePack-2..
A Bangladeshi software development firm, Ekushey.org, and Vishwabharati University of India rendered voluntary services to Microsoft to develop the Bangla version of the operating system.
